This is a scary scene to behold.
On Thursday afternoon, a wooden beam or other debris from the 7 train came crashing down onto the road below at Roosevelt Avenue and 65th Street.
The beam pierced through the windshield of a car.
The photos were taken by witnesses, and shared by Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer, who shared a statement posted below:
This is horrifying. Thankfully the driver was not injured, but someone could have been killed. There must be an investigation into how something this dangerous could happen. [The] MTA must answer for our crumbling subway infrastructure before a tragedy occurs.”
